Introduction to Research in Library and Information Science

Syllabus
Course Objectives:
This course provides an introduction to procedure for
preparing, designing, conducting, and evaluating scientific
research in library and information science. It is designed to
aid students in the identification of problems currently in need
of investigation in the field, and to create an appreciation of
research in general.

Charles H. Busha & Stephen P. Harter, Research Methods in
Librarianship, Technique and Interpretation. New York: Academic
Press,1980.
Requirement:
Each student will be required to prepare a term paper. The
paper will be a proposal for the conduct of a piece of research.
